PEOPLE WITH BEAUTIFUL HEARTS

Hardworking, family oriented, and optimistic, these words would probably be few of the many positive descriptions that could define the people of Balangao. More than the beauty of their barangay, the diversity of culture, and the richness and potential for development of the place, what could greatly put this barangay ahead is the attitude of the locals. Though they live in a very simple environment, not consumed by the complexities of the city, and can be overjoyed with the simplest of things, the people of Balangao are able to live with content. They may not have the best of everything, but they are making the most out of what they have.

 

Hardworking - Most of them work as farm owners and laborers and they work hard to provide for their immediate needs such as food, clothing, health and education for their families. Being farmers, they have to have that sense of hard work and this is greatly evident on how they do their job. They have to wake up early and work even under the heat of the sun.

 

Family Oriented - Hardworking as they are and doing their tedious source of living as farmers, they need to have the right purpose and motivation and here comes in their families. They endure the tiresome demands of tending the land and farming just to be able to provide food and support the needs of their families. This shows how family oriented these people are.

 

Optimism – The locals of Balangao can settle with the simplicity of life, they work hard for their families hoping to uplift their living in the long run and this is one admirable trait of the locals. They are optimistic about the fruits of their labor. Though at present they may not have everything they want, still, they strive to work hard to send their children to school to earn good education so that they can live comfortably in the future. This trait could help bring the barangay to progress and slowly this becomes apparent with how the barangay develops.

 

Gradually, Balangao is starting to catch up with other developed barangays in the Municipality of Diplahan. With the traits that these people have it would not be a surprise if they even surpass what others have achieved.

 

Barangay Balangao is definitely a beautiful place, but more than that, there live people with beautiful hearts.
